Flight Experience

The highlight of the course is when the students get to fly a European JAA certified training aircraft after completion number of subjects. Following a ground briefing, the AirCadet will be seated in the Pilot seat inside the cockpit. After being made familiar with the instruments and controls and wearing the head set (head phones). The pilot together with the AirCadet will follow through the communications with the Air Traffic Controller for a Start Up and taxi clearance and after lining up on the runway, the Air Traffic controller will clear to commence the ‘Takeoff’. As soon as you get airborne, the AirCadet will be taken through some basic maneuvers experienced during the theory class, and last but not least will enjoy the beautiful views of Malta and places of interest that look so different from the air. Finally the AirCadet under the supervision of the Flight Instructor will fly the aircraft back to the airport, following an assisted approach and landing.

The 2nd highlight of the course is the flight on our approved flight simulator, another first in Malta.

At the end of the course the student will sit for the ‘Basic Aeronautical Exams’ and upon passing, a certificate of completion will be awarded.
