Course Description
This course provides attendees with the necessary security awareness to conduct unescorted duties in the airport’s security restricted areas. The training programme covers the latest legal and organisational developments in aviation security and its upkeep.
The SCM training programme is a requirement to all personnel applying for a Malta International Airport security pass. Whilst the, SCS course is designed to give aircrew personnel the necessary know-how in the set-up of aircraft security and protection.

Target Group
- Air carriers’ personnel who are responsible of the protection/ security of their aircraft, and
- Aviation personnel who require unescorted access to security restricted areas at MIA, Malta.

Course Outline [Integrated]
This course content includes the following elements:
• an outline of general aviation security,
• a review of aviation security threats and the latest developments,
• a recap of aviation security Organisation and Legal Frameworks,
• details of the Airport Access Control Procedures,
• details of Airport Security Passes and their use,
• an overview of the Prohibited Articles, and
• details on Protection of Aircraft and In-flight Security.
Course content complies with ICAO Annex 17 requirements and is accredited by AVSEC Malta.

Course Entry Requirements: 
• English Language Proficiency.
