CERTIFIED FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR (H) FAA
The FAA Flight Instructor Certificate (H) permits an individual to be able to serve to enhance or evaluate the knowledge and skill level of an airmen in pursuit of a pilot certificate or rating.
On completion of the course a Certificated Flight Instructor (CFI) will have:
-Logged at least 15 hours as pilot in command in a helicopter
-Receive knowledge training on the fundamentals of instructing
-Pass a knowledge test on the fundamentals of instructing (exemptions available for certain teaching experience)
-Pass the flight instructor knowledge test
Pre-Course Requirements:
Be at least 18 years of age
Be able to read, speak, write, and understand the English language
Hold either a commercial pilot certificate or airline transport pilot certificate with an aircraft category and class rating that is appropriate to the flight instructor rating sought
