The Commercial Pilot’s Licence for Helicopters – CPL(H) – is the professional qualification which is the basic requirement to become employable as a pilot.  
The company conducts CPL(H) training via the popular and flexible course known by the UK CAA as the "modular" route. This allows you to complete the course around your personal and professional lives conducting it at a speed which suits you and your budget.  To enter the course you require to have a PPL(H) and 155 hrs in total (including 50 hrs P1). Whilst increasing your flight hours after your PPL(H) you can study the theoretical knowledge and sit the 13 ATPL or 9 CPL exams. A pass in all of the required exams is required to enter the 30 hour intensive flying course (35 hrs if no night qualification is previously held). On completion of the course you will undergo a CPL(H) flight test with a CAA examiner.

HJS Helicopters recommends Bristol Ground School as a provider of quality correspondence type ATPL(H) theoretical training. HJS can also offer a mentor service to assist in the ground school should the need arise.
