FULLY INTEGRATED TRAINING PROGRAMME

The integrated course is 16 – 18 months in duration and will teach you not only the skills required to operate a modern, sophisticated, next generation airliner but additionally the interpersonal and human development aspects of commanding a fast transport jet liner in complex demanding airspace.

The integrated graduate from AFTA will typically complete the course in the assigned time frame and will progress to an airline position following successful completion of an interview and assessment process with that airline. The AFTA graduates first airline position is most often with a short haul carrier flying within Europe and destinations with close proximity to Europe. The progression in the modern airline environment for first officers to the position of Captain is often within four years from the date of joining.

REQUIREMENTS
Minimum age: 17 ½
Must hold a valid EU (Part-MED) issued Class 1 Medical
Complete an assessment in our academy.
Minimum IELTS Level 4.5 English Language Proficiency

 

COURSE SYLLABUS:

BASIC (PHASE 1)

The 3 phases comprise integrated basic flight training and ground school equivalent to PPL standard and night  flying endorsement

100 Hours PPL Theoretical Training and Long Briefs
37.0 Hours Dual Flight Training
10.0 Hours solo.


Intermediate (PHASE 2)

The next 2 phases concentrates mainly on ATPL theory and examinations with a prescribed amount of dual and PIC flight training to maintain  currency of previously attained flight skills. On completion of ATPL theory students will be introduced to basic Single Engine Aircraft Instrument Flight and  Upset Prevention and recovery training.

657 Hours ATPL Theoretical Training.
22.0 Hours Long Briefs on Basic Instrument and Navigation
11.0 Hours Dual Flight Training.
20.0 Hours SPIC flight training.
40.0 Hours PIC.


Intermediate (PHASE 3)

These phases of training involves covering multi engine handling and VFR navigation.

28.0 Hours Briefing on Multi Engine and Commercial Operations
14.0 Hours Dual Multi Engine flight training
1.0 Hours FNPT II Multi Engine Simulator Training


Advanced (Phase 4) 

This phase of training involves Multi Engine Instrument Rating Training.

25 Hours Briefing on Instrument Rating
16 Dual Multi engine flight training.
39 FNPT II Multi engine simulator training.


Advanced (Phase 5)

The final 2 week phase of training covers the APS MCC inclusive of  a  Threat  and Error Management Course (TEM) and Cockpit Resource Management (CRM).

Large Aircraft Upset Prevention and Recovery Technique (UPRT)

 

COURSE FEE

Course Fee Includes:

iPad, uniform, flight bag, headset, digital copies of ATPL theory and PPL theory books, pilots computer (CRP5), kneeboard, logbook, VFR charts.
Safety Courses and Airport ID along with all associated administration.

Online CUT-E assessment €55 and AFTA assessment fee: €300.
