Our EASA Multi Engine Instrument Rating (MEIR) course is designed to give you the skills and experience you need to make approaches in poor weather and fly in Class A airspace. This course is typically one of the final elements in commercial flight training.
You will begin your training in our state of the art FNPT II DA42 simulator. Once you have achieved the required skill level, you will progress onto our DA42 aircraft, equipped with a Garmin G1000 Glass cockpit, to fly IFR routes and make instrument approaches into some of the largest regional and international airports in the UK.
Option 1
(if you hold a multi-engine CPL)
• 30 hours DA42 simulator flight time
• 15 hours of multi engine DA42 dual flight time
• 2 hours CAA skills test
Option 2
(if you do not hold a multi-engine CPL)
• 35 hours DA42 simulator flight time
• 20 hours of multi engine DA42 dual flight time
• 2 hours CAA skills test

DURATION
55 hours (for non multi-engine CPL holders) 45 hours (for multi-engine CPL holders)
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
• Must be at least 18 years old
• ICAO Level 4 standard in use of English language
• hold an EASA PPL
• EASA Class 1 Medical
