MULTI-ENGINE PISTON (MEP)

Multi-Engine Piston (MEP) class rights are needed as a pilot on multi-engine aircraft. The training focuses on flight with asymmetric force and flight on complex aircraft with systems such as anti / de-icing, complex electrical systems, advanced autopilots and more.

At Aeropole we use the best machine in the market for MEP training: Diamond DA42NG with Garmin G1000 glass cockpit.

The MEP course consists of both theory and practical flight. The theory section will review the general handling of multi-engine aircraft flight, as well as review of the DA42 and the systems included with the machine.
The practical part of the flight can be supplemented with our Diamond DA42 Simulator in Helsinki-Vantaa.

If you already hold an IR rating for SEP aircraft, you can extend the privileges of your IR rating to the MEP class by an additional five (5) hours of multi-engine instrument flight training.

Prerequisites for the course are: PPL (A) or CPL (A) license and 70 h of PIC experience on aeroplanes.

Our MEP course is tailored to your specific needs. The length of the course will depend on previous experience and what MEP rights are desired.
