NIGHT RATING- R22

If you have completed 100 hours of flight time as a helicopter pilot after the issue of your PPL, including at least 60 hours of PIC on helicopters and 20 hours of cross-country flight, then the next logical step is to make use of it. The night rating will give you the flexibility to fly when its dark – particularly useful during winter when the days are shorter.

Additionally, if you plan to gain your Commercial Pilot Licence, a Night Rating is a pre-requisite for this. We recommend booking your night rating course when British Summer Time ends.
