Aircrew Security Train to Train

Overview

Our course is aimed at suitably trained classroom training instructors who have completed General Security Awareness training (GSAT), and are wanting to specialise within aircrew security training as a subject.  The course has been designed not only to expand your knowledge of aviation security rules and regulations, but also to give you an understanding of where they come from, and why they are in place.  If you have never trained before, why not add our teaching and learning course, which covers all the generic skills you’ll need to become a training instructor.  Please equire for future course dates.

Approach

To be delivered by a skypeople approved Level 4 Trainer and CAA approved Aircrew Security Certified Instructor (CIN) and must be:

Course Objectives

At the end of this course, participants will be able to:

Evaluate the framework for aviation security legislation in the UK, and identify the organisations involved.
Identify the UK approach to threat assessment, including UK threat levels and how they affect security measures.
Review the UK stance to hold baggage reconciliation, and the circumstances under which unaccompanied baggage can fly.
Define security measures at UK airports including specific measures to liquids, aerosols and gels (LAG).
Explain the UK procedures of aircraft searching/checking and the differences between them.
Describe the UK approach to protection of aircraft, including crew responsibilities.
Interpret local and national requirements for inflight-security.
Discuss the national strategy for dealing with hijacking, and the government (multi- agency) response to incidents.
