The EASA Part 66 Approved Category ‘B’ courses have a duration of 89 training weeks, just less than 2 years in all. The course design is made up of theory and practical training with 40% of the training being practical. You will learn in our clean modern training environment with our highly experienced lecturing team!
The first year of the course covers the modules common to both B1 and B2 Licence categories and you do not need to make a decision regarding whether to follow Mechanical or Avionic licensing until the second year of the course.
Part of the Approved Course includes an Industry placement for 8 weeks; this is arranged by AST and is included in the 89 week training programme.

It is also possible to intersperse approved course training with experience requirements. This is known as the Integrated Sandwich course and this course is available for Corporate Customers Only. Additional intakes can be scheduled at the request of corporate customers where there are sufficient students.
