G1000 Glass Cockpit Course

G1000 glass cockpit is an ultra-modern, integrated, dicital system of avionics manufactured by the company "GARMIN". Nowadays, this system is standardly being installed in a plenty of aircrafts (such as Cessna 172/182 G1000 and Cessna 350/400, Diamond DA40 G1000 and DA42 Twin Star, Cirrus SR20 and SR22, Mooney M20 Serie and many more).

But G1000's handling, reading and interpreting require special demands for the pilot, which considerably differ from the ones of an analogue cockpit.

If you would like to fully exploit G1000's potential flying savely you will have to deal with the complex avionic. Therefore, an instruction is absolutely necessary.

While self-studying boring books and pictures frustation may quickly come up and the avionic's funcionality as well as its interaction is difficult to impart.
Regarding the operation of visual flight (VFR) GARMIN recommends an instruction in the aircraft of about 7 hours (e.g. Cessna 172SP G1000) and an instruction of about 10 to 15 hours regarding instrumental flight (IFR). But at this, costs for flying time and flight instructor will occur, which may quickly amount to thousands of Euros (dependand on aircraft type).

We offer a modern method of learning customized to your individual needs. With the help of our modern, interactive and fully operative G1000 glass cockpit simulator including GFC-700 auto pilot you are able to extensively get to know the system of avionics in any flight situation.

Our G1000-simulator allows you among others to train system failures without any danger or to simply stop a certain flight phase for its interpretation. Engine as well as electronic failures (limited panel) can be simulated and the respectively necessary hand grips can be practiced. Furthermore, it provides the detailed haptic of the press and rotary buttons of the original GARMIN G1000 avionic.
We have designed several training courses for you, which enable you to very quickly learn and manage the handling of the G1000 system including the GFC-700 auto pilot. After having successfully passed the course, you will receive a certificate of AEROTOURS FTO as well as the entry "EFIS (Electronic Flight Instrument System)" into your personal flight book.
