Instructor Training Course

Course Benefits
The ICAO Global Aviation Training Bureau (GAT) has developed a Training Instructor Course (TIC) as part of the TRAINAIR PLUS (TPP) Program. ICT is offered to the aviation community at TRAINAIR PLUS Centers as described in this document.

The objectives of the ICT course are:

To enable participants to methodically conduct training courses in accordance with the ICAO Instructor Competency Framework and to develop the training strategies required for the delivery of these courses. 
Train instructors to operate a Standardized Instructional Pack (MPN) to provide both a conventional course and a course based on the TRAINAIR PLUS methodology.

Who shoud attend
The instructor training course (TIC) is for:

Instructors on duty or prior to assuming duty as instructors, not having received formal training consistent with the ICAO Competency Profile;
Aviation instructors and professionals specializing in the implementation of competency-based training programs;
Experts wishing to enrich their teaching skills;
Instructors wishing to update or enrich their trainer skills.

Content
By completing this training successfully, participants will be able to  :

Prepare the training environment including facilities, equipment and teaching materials;
Manage trainees using effective training strategies;
Provide a course using a variety of teaching methods depending on the needs of the training;
Conduct trainee assessment in an appropriate, objective and correct manner;
Effectively perform the course evaluation.
