SINGLE ENGINE INSTRUMENT RATING (H)

IR (H) Course

On completion of the course a PPL (H) holder will have:

Flown a minimum of 50 hours dual flight training instruction (including 35 hours simulator and 15 hours aircraft)
Passed theoretical IR exams
Passed the final flying skills test
Training:

Ground school training in our purpose built classrooms in following subjects:

-Air law
-Aircraft general knowledge – instrumentation
-Flight performance and monitoring
-Human performance
-Meteorology
-Radio navigation
-IFR communications

If you have passed the theoretical knowledge examinations for a CPL (H), you will be credited the exams below:

-Human Performance
-Meteorology

Flight training will be on the Bell 206 Long Ranger Helicopter.  This aircraft is certified for IFR flight and has from new Factory fitted Autopilot.  The aircraft is also capable of PBN approaches.  The training can be conducted from Old Sarum Airfield in the UK. Simulator training will be conducted at Kemble Airfield UK on an FNPTII.
