LOAD LIFTING TECHNIQUES
COURSE APPROVAL
Approved by Vantage Aviation, CAA and FAA under Part 133.
TARGET POPULATION
Security Forces and Parapublic.
PREREQUISITES
Qualified, current and experience helicopter pilot with spare capacity.
Holding an in date medical examination.
English spoken and written skills at least ICAO Level 4.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
To enable the applicant to conduct helicopter load lifting procedures by day and night. Where qualified, to including night and NVD formation.
COURSE DURATION
The full course is 10 days. 'Day only' is 7 days and includes 10 hours of flight training.
GROUND TRAINING
3 days.
FLIGHT TRAINING
7 days or 10 days (to include night flying and NVD where qualified).
TRAINING SEQUENCE
The course can be conducted in the UK or USA or abroad using the client’s own aircraft.
COURSE COMPLETION
On completion the students will be issued a certificate approved by Vantage Aviation.
COURSE CONTENT
The Ground training includes limited power flight principles, load lifting techniques, Long Line and emergencies, use of specialist equipment, load operation signals and crew co-operation.
Flight training day and night load lifting techniques, emergencies and crew co-operation.
Ground and flight phases will include assessments.
