Maintenance System Observation Programme - Observer Skills Course

How will this course benefit me?
This practical, skills-focused course gives you the complete skill set and techniques to confidently conduct effective observations and present your findings. You will be given the opportunity to enhance your Human Factors knowledge in order to gain a better understanding of human behaviour and overall organisational safety performance.
You will be taken through a series of evaluated exercises both in syndicates and as individuals and will have ample opportunity to apply skills learnt in the classroom in a ‘real-world’ example observation. Emphasis is placed throughout the course on the human element of error and how identifying and managing threats provides realistic, worthwhile and long-reaching fixes for organisations.
By completing this course, you will be able to:
-Increase your contribution to your organisation’s safety and efficiency standards
-Reduce your organisation’s exposure to risk and risk-provocative situations
-Provide cost savings through reduction of unnecessary rework and avoidance of incidents and
accidents
-Improve reliability by identifying and correcting non-conformance to your processes
