Course Benefits
The course is designed for air traffic controllers, pilots, vehicle operators, and aerodrome managers who use and manage aerodrome surface areas. The course aims to increase their awareness of the contributory factors of runway incursions and ICAO-recommended best practices and procedures to reduce the risk of runway incursions and improve runway safety.

The target population for this course includes trained and/or experienced air traffic controllers, pilots, vehicle operators, and aerodrome managers in the international aviation community.

Content
After successful completion of the interdisciplinary module of this course, participants will be able to:

Identify contributory factors of runway incursions that mutually affect air traffic controllers, pilots, vehicle operators, and aerodrome managers
Recognize the need for standardized methods of reporting and collecting data on runway incursion incidents
Employ general recommended procedures and policies to ensure safe runway operations at aerodromes
Recognize how aerodrome enhancements and advanced technology impact the risk of runway incursions
