COMBINED MULTI ENGINE COMMERCIAL PILOTS LICENCE (MEP CPL)

This rating allows a person to transition from single engine aircraft to twin engine aircraft which can be quite challenging. This training allows a person a certain insight into airline and multi-crew conditions.

The Commercial Pilots Licence will allow a person to have a flying career in aviation. It will enable them to act as a pilot in multi engine and multi pilot aircraft for airline commercial transport. The course comprises 25 hours flight training and a minimum of 20 hours theoretical tuition.

Course Syllabus:
The flight training is conducted on a Multi-Engine Piper Seneca PA-34 or Diamond DA-42 and an FNPT II simulator.
– 3 Hours on FNPT II
– 15 Hours on Cessna 172 includes one landing per flight
– 13 hours on PA 34 including 1 landing per flight
Theoretical tuition
As per EASA regulation the training course includes 7 hours of theoretical knowledge training and a theory exam.

MULTI ENGINE INSTRUMENT RATING
The MEIR course teaches the student to fly the aircraft with sole reference to instruments (Instrument Flight Rules) or in other words with no visual external references (Visual Flight Rules). It is a qualification which entitles the student to fly in the same manner as airline pilots.

Course Syllabus:
– 30 hours on FNPT 11
– 15 hours on PA34
– Theoretical tuition
When the training is completed a flight test is then conducted on a complex multi engine aircraft (Piper Seneca, PA 34 or Diamon DA42).

AIRLINE PREPARATION STANDARD MULTI CREW COOPERATION

The Ryanair mentored Airline Pilot Standard MCC (APS MCC) is an enhanced MCC that trains pilots in multi-crew competencies to Ryanairs standards. It is designed to give new pilots all the knowledge and skills necessary to be prepared for their final assessment and to be able to adapt easily to Ryanair’s working environment.

This APS MCC was developed in conjunction with Ryanair , it is structured to address areas that new pilots can be weak in during airline assessments. Accordingly there is more emphasis in the APS MCC on knowledge, manual handling and Crew Resource Management (CRM) all of which are trained and assessed using the EASA pilot Core Competencies. In addition, our Boeing 737 NG simulator represents a real airline standard aircraft. Jet orientation training is required and specified in the APS MCC course .The specification of the Jet simulator is set out and the qualification of the instructor is specified.

The content of the basic MCC is retained in full and you will be studying airline structure, operational CRM, meteorology, flight planning, and fuel management among other essential elements of information for a student airline pilot. In addition to that theoretical training you will be trained in pilot core competencies such as flightpath management, communication, situation awareness, problem solving and decision making among may more, all conducted in a high quality simulator.
